Author Guidelines

General Information

The International Journal of Information System and Innovative Technology (IJISIT) welcomes original research manuscripts within the journal's Focus and Scope.

Manuscripts submitted to IJISIT must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under consideration for publication by another journal. A manuscript must not be submitted simultaneously to another publication while it is under editorial review at IJISIT.

All manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software, including iThenticate, to assess originality and identify inappropriate textual overlap. Manuscripts involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, inappropriate citation practices, or other forms of research misconduct may be rejected in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics policy.

Scope of Submission

Authors should ensure that their manuscripts are relevant to the Focus and Scope of IJISIT before submission.

IJISIT publishes scholarly research related to information systems, information technology, computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, digital technologies, intelligent systems, and other areas covered by the journal's stated Focus and Scope.

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to the IJISIT manuscript template and formatting requirements.

A research manuscript should generally include:

  1. Title
  2. Author name(s) and affiliation(s)
  3. Corresponding author information
  4. Abstract
  5. Keywords
  6. Introduction
  7. Literature Review or Related Work, where appropriate
  8. Research Methodology
  9. Results and Discussion
  10. Conclusion
  11. Acknowledgments, where applicable
  12. Funding Statement, where applicable
  13. Conflict of Interest Statement, where applicable
  14. References

Authors must ensure that figures and tables are clearly presented, numbered consecutively, appropriately captioned, and cited within the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources where permission is required.

References

IJISIT uses the IEEE referencing style.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references are accurate, complete, relevant, and consistently formatted.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

Where available, the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) should be included in the reference.

Submission Files

The main manuscript should be submitted in an editable document format accepted by the journal.

Authors may also upload supplementary files when relevant, including research data, supporting materials, declarations, or other documents necessary for editorial assessment.

All uploaded files must be clearly identified during the submission process.

Peer Review

IJISIT applies a double-blind peer review process.

Each manuscript is initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief or responsible Editor to determine its relevance to the journal's Focus and Scope, compliance with submission requirements, originality, and general academic quality.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are normally reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript.

During double-blind peer review, the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

Following peer review, the editorial decision may be:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

The final publication decision is made by the responsible Editor after considering the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the manuscript, and the authors' responses to requested revisions.

Authorship

Authorship must accurately reflect substantial scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript.

All listed authors must have approved the submitted manuscript and agreed to its submission to IJISIT.

Authors are responsible for providing accurate names, affiliations, email addresses, and other author metadata during submission.

Requests for changes in authorship after submission must be appropriately justified and are subject to editorial approval.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation.

If there is no relevant conflict of interest, authors may state:

“The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this article.”

Research Ethics and Data Integrity

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, authenticity, and integrity of the research and data presented in their manuscripts.

Research involving human participants, animals, confidential information, or other ethically sensitive materials must comply with applicable ethical, legal, and institutional requirements.

Where applicable, information concerning ethical approval and informed consent should be provided in the manuscript.

Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or intentional misrepresentation of research data is prohibited.

Originality and Plagiarism

All manuscripts must represent original scholarly work.

IJISIT may screen submitted manuscripts using plagiarism detection software, including iThenticate.

Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.

Suspected cases of publication misconduct will be handled in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics policy.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors who publish with IJISIT retain copyright to their work.

Authors grant IJISIT the right of first publication, with the published work licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under this license, others may share and adapt the published work, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given and derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Open Access

IJISIT provides immediate open access to all published articles.

Readers may access journal content without subscription or access fees. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Article Processing Charges

IJISIT currently charges:

  • No submission fee
  • No Article Processing Charge (APC)
  • No publication fee

Submission, peer review, editorial processing, and online publication are currently provided free of charge.

Authors should consult the journal's Author Fee policy for current information regarding publication charges.

Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the IJISIT Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

During submission, authors must provide complete and accurate metadata, including:

  • Article title
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Author names
  • Author affiliations
  • Email addresses
  • Corresponding author information
  • Other metadata required by the journal

The information entered into OJS should correspond with the information contained in the submitted manuscript.

Incomplete submissions or manuscripts that do not comply with these Author Guidelines may be returned to the authors before peer review.

Revision

Authors receiving a revision decision should carefully address all comments provided by the reviewers and editors.

A revised manuscript should be accompanied by an appropriate response explaining how the reviewers' and editors' comments have been addressed.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

Corrections, Retractions, and Publication Ethics

Authors must comply with IJISIT's Publication Ethics, Corrections and Retractions Policy, Copyright Notice, Open Access Policy, and other applicable editorial policies.

If authors identify a significant error in their work after publication, they should promptly contact the Editorial Office. IJISIT may publish a correction, retraction, or other appropriate notice depending on the nature and severity of the issue.

Final Responsibility of Authors

Before completing a submission, authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • the manuscript is original;
  • all authors have approved the submission;
  • all author information is accurate;
  • the manuscript complies with IJISIT's Author Guidelines;
  • references and research data are accurate;
  • applicable ethical requirements have been fulfilled;
  • conflicts of interest have been disclosed; and
  • the authors understand and agree with IJISIT's copyright, licensing, open access, and publication ethics policies.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration for publication by another journal.
  • All authors have approved the manuscript and agree to its submission to the International Journal of Information System and Innovative Technology (IJISIT).
  • The manuscript is relevant to the Focus and Scope of IJISIT.
  • The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the IJISIT Author Guidelines and applicable manuscript formatting requirements.
  • The submission file is provided in an editable document format accepted by the journal.
  • The manuscript follows the IEEE referencing style, and all references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • DOI or URL information for references has been provided where available.
  • All figures and tables are appropriately numbered, captioned, and cited in the manuscript.
  • All author names, affiliations, email addresses, and other submission metadata are complete and accurate.
  • All authors have disclosed any relevant conflicts of interest.
  • The research complies with applicable research ethics requirements, including ethical approval and informed consent where required.
  • The manuscript does not contain plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, inappropriate citation practices, or other forms of research misconduct.
  • The authors understand that IJISIT applies a double-blind peer review process.
  • The authors acknowledge that published articles are made immediately available as open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  • The authors retain copyright to their work and grant IJISIT the right of first publication.
  • The authors have read and agree to comply with the journal's Publication Ethics, Copyright Notice, Open Access Policy, and other applicable editorial policies.
